I really hate when I have to hear about my friends and loved ones getting taken advantage of. Maybe it’s maternal instinct, maybe I just have a severe aversion to douchebags and bitches. Either way, I can’t stand it.

I hate knowing my friends are sad, when they’re in pain, when there’s nothing I can do but listen and try to crack a bad joke in hopes it can make them laugh. Especially when the heartache is caused by someone else’s insincerity and selfishness.

Get your shit together, people. I’ve said it time and time again, but don’t bring other people into your lives if you’re not ready for it. I don’t care what you’re going through, I don’t care how hard times are, have some common decency and give an explanation. Don’t avoid the texts and calls, don’t tell someone one thing and then don’t follow through, don’t make things completely one sided. It’s unfair. Man up and do the right thing, even if you know it’s going to hurt. Leading someone on is never okay, especially when they’ve done nothing to deserve it.
